Because you have done this,
cursed are you above all livestock
and above all beasts of the field;
on your belly you shall go,
and dust you shall eat
all the days of your life.
15 I will put enmity between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and her offspring;
he shall bruise your head,
and you shall bruise his heel.”
Because/then. Because the serpent did this, then his curses are numerous. Because Adam sinned, then we are cursed with the burden of sin. Because Israel disobeyed God’s covenant, though he was faithful, then they were overrun by Assyria and Babylon. Because God is faithful and merciful, then he remembers his promise to never leave us or forsake us.
Because/then. Because God so loved the world, then he sent his Son, Jesus Christ so that, because people believe in him, then they will never perish but have eternal life. Because Jesus rose from the dead, then we are conquerors with him over death and will live with him forever.
Come to Cape Community Church tomorrow to see what will then happen because God so loved the world. Even in Genesis, the perfect plan of God is visible. Let us be thankful to Almighty God for his great mercy because then we will follow him.
Dear Lord, thank you for loving us before you created the world and for the plan that saves us because of the shed blood of Jesus. Then accept our worship and praise for guiding us with the Holy Spirit. Because he lives, then we can face tomorrow. Thank you in Jesus’ name. Amen.
