The printing press was the greatest invention in history for the dissemination of information; and the worst. Today, that honor, or dishonor goes to the internet. There is so much on the internet to help us with our walk, including this devotional. There is also very much on the internet that can trip us up; pornography and social media. Peter commanded soon to be suffering churches to suffer well and defend the faith. Then he added these keywords. “yet do it with gentleness and respect.”
Come to Cape Community Church tomorrow and learn how to rush to the front lines of a spiritual battle armed only with the sword of truth, and gentleness and respect. We will review how we have lost the art of humility and gentleness on our social media accounts. We argue with others about Jesus instead of loving others with the love of Jesus. We lose all fear, saying, “Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good?” and we forget to honor Christ the Lord as Holy. we will learn to suffer for righteousness’ sake…
