6 Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out,

    “Hallelujah!

    For the Lord our God

the Almighty reigns.

7    Let us rejoice and exult

and give him the glory,

    for the marriage of the Lamb has come,

and his Bride has made herself ready;

8    it was granted her to clothe herself

with fine linen, bright and pure”—

for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.

Jesus is “who was”, he came to earth to die a criminal’s death for our sins, “who is”, he lives and rules at the right hand of the Father, but we often don’t remember that Jesus is also, “who is to come”. We sometimes forget that Jesus is coming again, even though there are 150 chapters in the Bible about this event. Look at those verses again. Hallelujah means praise YHWH. Praise the name! He is our hope in times of stress and trouble.

We may feel isolated and alone but one day we will be one of the voices of the great multitude crying out in praise to Jesus when he returns. That is, if you have become a new creation, have surrendered your will to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Bride is the Church, the worldwide communion of believers. The marriage of the Lamb is coming. Have you made yourself ready?

God Bless,

Pastor Brad
