Then I said, “I will appeal to this,

      to the years of the right hand of the Most High.”

            11       I will remember the deeds of the LORD;

      yes, I will remember your wonders of old.

            12       I will ponder all your work,

      and meditate on your mighty deeds.

            13       Your way, O God, is holy.

      What god is great like our God?

            14       You are the God who works wonders;

      you have made known your might among the peoples.

            15       You with your arm redeemed your people,

      the children of Jacob and Joseph.

The surest way to success in any exercise program is to stick with it on those days when you wake up and it is the very last thing you feel like doing, and you do it anyway. The psalmist may seem like he woke up that morning with the birds chirping and sun shining and sang a song to God. Not so, if you look at the entire psalm. In verses 1-9, he is crying out in anguish and the last thing he wants to do is praise God.

Yet he praises him for who he is, the holy one, and what he has done, redeemed us by sending Jesus to the cross. Some mornings, I wager, our people may not feel like joining our prayer meetings on Zoom due to fatigue or pain. They join and they praise our God and King Jesus Christ on his throne. It is a privilege to praise him. See the link below as an invitation to praise him today, even if you are hurting.

Dear Lord, thank you for tearing the veil so we can pray and praise in your throne room. May we be ever in prayer to you as we see your goodness. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
