The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

2       It shall come to pass in the latter days

that the mountain of the house of the LORD

shall be established as the highest of the mountains,

Every one of us, when someone speaks words to us that we understand, will invariably say, “I see.” Now, an ultra-literal person would say in confusion, “Don’t you mean, ‘I hear?’” They would be right and wrong because “I see” does not necessarily mean you see with your eyes but you receive “insight” from the revelation. Now we are getting closer to the meaning in Isaiah 2:1 that he saw the word. He received insight from the Lord that he was to pass on to Judah and Jerusalem. They had rejected the Lord repeatedly and judgment was to come. This verse was an early look at God’s plan for redemption and restoration and Judah had every chance to follow God.

Come to Cape Community Church tomorrow and we will be able to say, “I see!” at the word of the Lord. This is because this word has been revealed to us as well. Jesus has come to die on a cross and he will return to show the nations that he is Lord and that he will usher in the New Jerusalem. If you understand that, you have received insight from the Lord about his glorious plan for a new heavens and a new earth. Come and worship so that we can see the word of the Lord tomorrow.

Dear Lord, thank you for the clear vision of the future kingdom. May we worship you in spirit and in truth for what you have done and what we will see soon. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
