Galatians 3:13-14

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”— 14 so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.

“So let it be written. So let it be done.” Everyone knows Yul Brynner said that in the Ten Commandments and my brother and I would walk around saying it, not having a clue what it meant. It means that if it was written, it will be done. That is true only in the case of one writing; the Bible. The written word of God is a living, breathing document that will never change, never be less true, and never fail to see the fulfillment of a promise within its pages.Paul used the Scriptures to, in his words, preach truth to the people. The main character of the Old testament, Jesus, would take on the curse of mankind. It was written. It happened.

The Bible is not just a book to have on your shelf in case you need a crossword puzzle clue. The Bible is alive and preaches the word of God to you everytime you open it. In its pages are the promises that have yet to be fulfilled. It is written that those who believe in Jesus Christ will not perish but have everlasting life. It is written that Jesus will be with you always until the end of the world. It is written that Jesus is returning to complete the story that began in Genesis. In the beginning, God had a plan. In the end, we are part of that plan. We know this because…

It is written.
